Ever notice just how often that insult is used on a girl? Typically in comics, movies, or TV shows. Growing up I never thought much of it. I’ve got two sisters, one who throws in the a typical “like a girl” except when she’s ticked off (then she’s trying to kill you with her throws which are 90% of the time too wild to worry about) and the other who could throw decently. Never said that to either of them, or to any girl for that matter. Wasn’t until I was an adult that I began questioning how much of an insult it was, even for boys. When you’ve got female pitchers who have some heat to them, wouldn’t saying “you throw like a girl” be able to be taken as a compliment? Especially by a girl?
