I was scheduled to fly in a DC-10 from Miami to San Diego with a quick stop in Los Angeles; the plane was scheduled to proceed from SD on to San Francisco. A delayed departure in Miami made us late arriving in LA, so they had those of us heading for San Diego disembark the DC-10 and squeeze into a cramped, narrow-bodied plane for the 100-mile trip home, while the DC-10 went on to San Francisco slightly ahead of schedule.Boarding the San Diego bound plane, a quick glance at the chaos in coach was all I needed … first class seating on this plane was very similar to coach on the DC-10. When the stewardess asked to see my First-Class ticket, I told her that my scheduled ride to San Diego was in a seat very much like the one I was presently seated in. She acquiesced … even serving me a bit of wine.

And Congress just refused to put any regulations on seat spacing or width. Thank you, you miserable parasites.

The “Knee Defender” can protect you from reclining airplane seats.

I guess I’ve never been in a truly bad coach-class seat. Must be the airlines I take.
