Talk about false choices. If you buy into Iran being pure evil, the only solution is another trillion dollar war. Heck of a solution. It would be nice if these idiots would try to come up with practical solutions that won’s create fifty thousand casualties and kill or injure hundreds of thousands of Iranian non-combatants.

Ramirez would do well to re-examine the results of the recent general election in Iran objectively.

If he’s intelligent, educated, and experienced, he will tumble to the fact that, despite the gang of mullahs’ having imposed very, very restrictive controls over who could be candidates for the various offices, there was a definite liberalizing, i.e., less confrontation with the West, more participation with the West, trend.

A few significant, quite conservative, leaders (both secular and religious) were booted out and it’s only a matter of time until the Iranian middle class and intellectuals increase their influence on the government, particularly since the gang of mullahs will be exposed for the hypocrites they are for having plundered the Iranian economy for personal benefit during the very effective world sanctions.

Iran is still dangerous, but it’s clear that, while a strong conservative element still controls a lot of power, including all aspects of the Iranian armed forces, they’re on notice that the overwhelming majority of Iranians don’t buy into a lot of the theorcratic crap the gang of mullahs have been spewing for decades. The gang of mullahs have lost their political legitimacy and their grip on power has clearly begun to erode. Patience and watchfulness is all that’s needed. Foolishness and rash acts on our part will only bring about another Mideast quagmire and bloodbath. Why should our young servicemen and service women die to impose the dinosaur policies of out-of-touch U.S. jingoists?

It’s unfortunate that there’s an entire party devoted to tearing down America in front of the world. The Iran deal was a really momentous change, and the Iranian nuclear program has been stopped. Why can’t Republicans rejoice in that, or at least shut up and find an actual problem to complain about?

The “hear no evil.. see no evil” is apt… when you replace the last image with Israel. Objectively Israel is not nearly as righteous as you all would like to imagine.

Plagiarizing from Senator Robert K. (“Bob”) Dole, who said that after the Watergate Scandal about the gathering of certain former presidents:“One of my most often repeated quips was the one I made when former Presidents Carter, Ford and Nixon stood by each other at a White House event. ‘There they are,’ I said. ‘See no evil, hear no evil, and . . . evil.’”—Bob Dole (born 1923)

@ARodney said (one sentence extract) " The Iran deal was a really momentous change, and the Iranian nuclear program has been stopped."-Would you like to have that carved on your gravestone for survivors of a nuclear holocaust to ponder?

They hear and see evil all the time, the Republicans have been going behind their backs and sending treasonous letters and pretending this treaty is something that it is not. The real evil is much much closer to them than that non-threat Iran. It is hard to remember you righties are the tough guys when you keep cowering and sending other’s children to die for you.
