Reminds me of playing vocal D in a pickup game. One of our guys was going for a shot when an opponent yelled “HEY!!!” at the top of his lungs. Guy got completely frazzled and botched the shot. A little later, same opponent wound up with a loose ball at the top of the key and no one around him. Took off toward the goal for the easy layup, until I bellowed, “HEY!!!!” just as he put his foot down to take the shot. Wound up falling all over himself and crashing headfirst into the chain-link fence that surrounded the court. We all ran to see if he was all right. Then we all agreed not to play vocal D for the rest of the game.
