This time, Richard’s blog entry covers the last 14 strips. This was the first appearance of Dill’s toy (in this strip) in the rerun.Looking ahead, the strip blog entries become less frequent, at least in the near future. For example, there are only two more in April, for the next two Sunday strips (provided the rerun doesn’t change the order as it has in the past), with none for the weekly strips. May also only has three strip related entries; two for a couple weekly strips, mainly because they weren’t accessible on GoComics for technical reasons at the time. The other blog entry in May, instead of being for a May strip, is for one that ran November 12, 2012 in the rerun, which, if you recall, was the one Richard chose for the final strip.

I think it’s due for servicing, Dill. Take it in to your nearest (at least, nearer than Mars) pull-toy service shop ASAP!

That song (well, the toy therein described) always creeped me out as a kid.

I read it as a toy from Klars and spent some time pondering the significance of that until I read on. But then I haven’t had my coffee yet.

I don’t know that song so I looked up the lyrics. Kind of weird and cute.

Please, the written part was by Tom Paxton. P, P & M made a hit out of it, but Paxton wrote it while in typewriting class at Fort Dix.
