Given enough hot sauce almost anything is edible. That should make you nervous Bob. I’ve heard squirrel tastes just like chicken.

Our squirrel’s are now eating lettuce and picking tomato’s out of the garden. I don’t think I will be naming them anything nice.

Last year I used a BB gun as persuasion. This year, no squirrels in the garden. Didn’t kill, but the sting must have been educational.

C-Rats and hot sauce, one of God’s gifts to military life. A lot of guys put a cross or their girlfriend’s photo on their helmet, but you could tell the guys with the cast iron guts by the Frank’s Red Hot in the target zone.

Our dog handlers had an honored and achient tradition. Each new dogger would be blindfolded and handed a bottle of Tobasco. they would suck such bottle till they were sure they had drunk at least half. After an oral bodily function, they would remove their blindfolds. Some lucky ones found they hadn’t drunken half and got to go again. Sick call was heavy those nights I recall.

    Good times! Semper Fi.

I pretty much grew up on squirrel and dumplins in the Ozarks with occasional quail and venison.
