He may squeak in on the exact legal phrase “natural born” , but he should have given up the dual citizenship long, long ago, if the USA is indeed his country.
Because there’s never been a court case to explicitly test the question of who counts as a natural-born citizen for the purpose of presidential eligibility, the question is by definition “unsettled.” It hasn’t been resolved yet. And court opinions that have mentioned the term in passing while ruling on other questions have come to very different opinions about what it means. The Naturalization Act of 1790 explicitly said that “the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural-born citizens.”So this Cuba-loving Canadian can be President!
Well, as long as the “candidate” has light skin it’s all good, right? If, on the other hand, if he/she has dark skin, then “we” will endlessly scrutinize his/her birth records and endlessly question his/her qualifications to actually run for, or be, president.

Giving up his dual citizenship was day late, dollar short, but what really bothers me is he seems more devoted to Cuba than Canada or the US.

Didn’t Hillary actually start the Birther thing?Of course she did, right after she cut out Vince Foster’s heart in a demonic ritual.
