I don’t get the Blood Orang(e)? All I know is that this would be a good time for the fly to break out into a rousing, “Hello my honey, Hello my baby, Hello my ragtime gal….”

Unbeknownst to Warner Bros., Michigan J. Frog had a seedy past he would rather forget…

Think about it. The thief has to carry around the dead victim until…….Now that’s a loaded frog!

The frog is the weapon. The business-fly is the victim.

Thanks Dan… in case you come back….

I guess I thought there was more to it than the mugging…

Like, some significance to the fly’s clothes, or briefcase…or another pop culture reference I didn’t recognise.

Made me think I was missing something when I wasn’t….

I did sorta suspect that the Blood Orange thing was a gang graffiti…..except, as Ottod said, it looked like a poster scrap, instead of a scrawl. But I remembered that quite a while ago, on the strip you mentioned, I posted this link to their gang rivals, the Chinese Crips apples.

and I think the Blood Oranges were in the strip another time, too.
