Imagine a roll of pennies (head to tail just like in the rolls you get from the bank) stretching from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Imagine that just one of all those pennies has an identifying mark on it. Your chances of winning the Powerball Lottery with one ticket is the same as finding that one penny the first penny you pull out. Now granted, somebody has to win, sooner or later, and you won’t win if you don’t play. But I wouldn’t invest a lot of money trying to do so.
