Uh, sorry! The kid had a realistic-looking gun, and was waving it around. It’s people like Luckovich that are promoting the riots and lawlessness in this country. Apparently he want anarchy and more killing instead of law and order.

And they rode right up on him. In 1.8 seconds, the killer couldn’t have gotten his gun out and shot; I have no doubt it was ready to fire before they even stopped. I’ve also seen video of police talking a deranged man into surrendering a rifle he was using as a threat from across the street. Anyone care to guess what the difference was?

In any case, what the ’toon is saying is that whatever an officer does, the grand jury will act as defense attorney and judge and exonerate him or her without a real trial.
