Referring to the strip… I haven’t figured out why some pharmaceutical companies package each pill separately. My migraine meds are that way, and it doesn’t help when I need fast relief! (Also harder to keep a supply in my purse where they’re handy.)

You asked “What is a ‘Magic Christian?’, not “How is ‘The Magic Christian’ relevant to the discussion?”

“The Magic Christian” has to do with this strip in that it (like Abbie Hoffman on Wall Street and “I Served the King of England”) also features enormously rich people who will sacrifice their dignity and self-respect for the prospect of acquiring more money, even in miniscule amounts.

Barney did not need the dollar that Clyde gave him. Barney certainly knew that one dollar would be a far more significant amount of money to someone like Clyde than it would be to himself. And yet Barney kept the dollar.

You then added “Even the word ‘Christian’ was coined by Greek-speaking pagans to make fun of those who preached about the ‘Anointed’ (Christos in Greek). … Jesus’ followers didn’t call themselves ‘Christian;’ they used the word “Believer’ instead”, which is absolutely irrelevant to this discussion, or to any of the many discussions in which you’ve shared it.
