    Lucy, our dachshund, is the same way Fred . Dinner is usually inhaled in less than one minute !

    You can buy special pet dishes that are designed in such a way that the pet must slow down to eat its food. I’ve seen them but have no need because my little girl takes one kibble at a time and chews it thoroughly before she swallows. I’ve never seen any other dog eat like her.

    Our old terrier was that way too. The other thing she did goodwas take the HB ball with the pill in and spit the pill out, eat the HB and then sniff the pill and eat it!

    My doxie does that takes out of bowl sniffs it then eats it waits 5 mins then finishes other wise the beagel will finish it for him…I have a cat the loves to over eat and tosses it back up hubby always steps in it..
