    Until this comic, I had only heard of the name “Otis Redding,” but had no idea about who he was. What caught my attention, though, is that I wrote a (completely different) poem that started the same way!     Otis Redding recorded the song ‘Sittin On the Dock of the Bay’ on December 9, 1967 and was killed in a plane crash the very next day. (Bing’s Day in History)
