There IS somewhat an interesting comparison that Dear and Roof were taken alive, while a kid with a pocket knife got shot 16 times. Even the Boston bomber was taken alive.
A nine-year old killed by a gang isn’t so much “racial” as it is “tribal”.
We need more in-depth review and discussion about our current state of afairs in this country, indeed.
But the core fault is hate, which can result from race, religion, economic postion, or well, all those tribal affiliations we form, instead of unity for the good of all.
The Preamble to the Constitution can indeed serve as a starting point to review what we are SUPPOSED to stand for.
That’s because when justice is served, you don’t need to protest. You simply need to grieve. It’s when justice is denied that you need to protest AND grieve.
I have generally been a supporter of civil police forces, and felt that we read about the bad ones at times. The Police department is a UNIONIZED group. Just wondering: Have the top police unions ever done a study on the actions and effectiveness of police forces in other countries, say England?(no need to answer me, as I already know.)
