Be careful what you ask for, Alix, you just might get it.

Disappointed thought be based on Thanksgiving that is coming with next Sunday Thanksgiving is over with and blissful so is Black Friday which means Holly wants Black Friday for shopping.I thought Alix was leaning towards cookies. For oatmeal I use milk to cook with.

Actually, in moderation, her recipe sounds like it might be pretty good!

Using milk instead of water might blend those flavors a bit better. Probably needs some butter, too. It’d need some experimentation, because when in the heating process to add the peanut butter would affect the flavor. Her ingredients are basically for frosted oatmeal peanut butter cookies. Maybe she’s sick because she just ate what amounts to a full bowl of raw cookie dough.

Yes, butter and milk would round it out beautifully. Personally, I can’t eat oatmeal unless it’s made with milk and a pat of butter melted inside before I add sugar and raisins.

Steel oats taste better. Regular oatmeal is too pasty for me. I save that for making or meal cookies.
