And how about that Lindsay Graham, huh? Voted against relief for Hurricane Sandy, but when HIS state gets hit, he’s the first one holding his hand out.[]http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/05/politics/lindsey-graham-flooding-federal-aid/[]In other words, typical rightie Republican.[]Just the same, I think he should be given what he’s asking for. There’s peoples lives in the balance here, and that should be our first concern, regardless
If folks would even bother to read a synopsis of the Global Climate Change they would know it says some places wetter, some dryer, some colder, some hotter! But of course that would take some effort, and they might learn something.
Thanks, Martens. In my experience the very best way not to be wrong is to admit when the body of evidence seems to point conclusively to being wrong. Then, if you want to be as correct as you can, you admit wrong and change your views. There’s nothing wrong with being wrong. Where people run into problems it’s often because they cannot admit error when all signs point in that direction. No?
David Evans and his partner Joanne Nova work for the Heartland Institute……“The Heartland Institute is an American conservative and libertarian public policy think tank founded in 1984 and based in Chicago. The Institute conducts work on issues including education reform, government spending, taxation, healthcare, education, tobacco policy, global warming, hydraulic fracturing, information technology, and free-market environmentalism. The Heartland Institute is the primary American supporter of climate change denial.Heartland has long questioned the links between tobacco smoking, secondhand smoke, and lung cancer and the social costs imposed by smokers. One of Heartland’s first and most prominent campaigns was against tobacco regulation. According to the Los Angeles Times, Heartland’s advocacy for the tobacco industry is one of the two things Heartland is most widely known for.During the 1990s, the Heartland Institute worked with tobacco company Philip Morris to question the links between smoking, secondhand smoke and health risks. Philip Morris commissioned Heartland to write and distribute reports." Wiki……………………..Now if The Heartland Institute is as reputable today on global warming as it has been in the past on denying the links of tobacco to lung cancer, then we have nothing to worry about.
