    To find your way out of any maze, simply place one hand on the wall of the maze and start walking not lifting your hand from the wall.You’ll do a lot of walking but you will come to the exit eventually. Works every time.

    A good riddle to pose to little kids: If corn oil comes from squeezing corn, and olive oil comes from crushing olives, where does baby oil come from?

    I grew to like peas and spinach, but lima beans and green beans are still (at 50+) a no-no. Broccoli: on the fence.

    With a lot of foods that I didn’t like as a kid, I eventually learned that it was just a matter of how they were prepared. I never learned that with lima beans, though. But at least they weren’t actually disgusting.

    Growing up during WWII, I learned to “like” what was put in front of me. Or else. I love broccoli – could eat it three times a day – but lima beans? Three times a year is sufficient. And then some.

    Ugh! Succotash is just an abomination! I actually thought my mom invented it. She always threw all the left-overs together for the next days meal and called it goulash (should have been called ‘goul’-ash). Corn is not an improvement.

    On the pro side: Baby lima beans, sauteed in butter or olive oil, with a little onion, garlic, freshly ground black pepper, and a pinch of salt, are delicious.
