I had that happen at a small radio station while trying to give away an album. We were on the air but no one was listening, million dollar station and I might as well been ….ing in the corner.
A small UHF TV station in San Francisco had that problem many years ago. During a movie, the general manager offered $100 to the first caller to see if anyone was watching. No calls. The station went off the air right after that.

They ALL say that. It’s not like the old days when they told you to call in and you couldn’t get anything but a busy signal.
