The last few of the weekday strips.

Hey comments with end approaching for Sunday for last day Saturday when strip will Sunday only, how about a memory of strip meant to us readers to post of Saturday. For me one stands out. Val and girls went to cemetery to visit with her husband girls dad.

Well with that many and if Holly in then one bathroom what could they all do?I feel they are doing a memory before Joan moved out.

That is more than I needed to know…

Today starts the final week of daily Stone Soup comic strips.

mom had 7 kids and 1 bathroom after dad died. 2 uncles came and renovated the kitchen and put in a 2nd bathroom

Haven’t seen any stories/columns about strip ending. Any sources?

I feel like a dear neighbor is moving away!

Have you seen the “Stone Soup” books that are available? I can’t say whether or not every strip, ever, is included, but you’ll find a lot of the story in those.

And of course you can keep them, to read again as often as you want to!

Well deserved reduction in work time, but so disappointing. I stumbled upon Stone Soup last spring and even though it’s been only six months, it feels like I’m losing a good friend each day. It is amazing how much comic strips insinuate themselves into your life. Having spent a lifetime seeking an end to housing discrimination and segregation in America (which I realize won’t happen in our lifetimes or our children’s lifetimes), I’ve got to say how nice it was to see a comic strip that treated all people with respect and that didn’t engage in racial stereotyping. The warmth in the relationships of your characters was a welcome respite from the today’s world of scorched-earth politics. Thank you. You’ve provided yet another reason to look forward to Sundays.

Sad to see them gone from the daily paper.

NO…how can Stone Soup not be here every day! sigh…..

will miss the outcome of the marriage and the girls growing up. Please continue the story on Sundays.

I am going to miss this strip so much, as I have followed them for so long. God Speed to you Jan, and your family. You are going to be missed.

They removed this comic strip form one of my local papers about 2-3 years ago. I really missed it and now that it’s going into semi-retirement, I’ll miss it more.
