Nice to see nephew Andy is siding with Joan. Now Luci is making big half-brother Max learn a new word!

Wally is the equivalent of an abused wife. He won’t admit that his little daughter is swearing.

Can’t believe this comic is going the way of Get Fuzzy, Foxtrot, Doonesbury etc. Soon there won’t be any original comics on weekdays.

So, I guess she is saying “damn it”? What else could it be?

Guess Max is teaching Lucy the bad word.Only two weeks left until Sunday only. I feel we will be counting down, so sad. How much of the family will not be seen?

You can always go back to the beginning, and start enjoying soup every day from the beginning again.

I love the strip, but all the same – I wish Jan Eliot a long and happy retirement. She’s earned it!

At that age, Luci is just making a sound – and if it’s a sound that gets a reaction, she will keep on making it. So ignore it! She’ll soon enough find a different sound to copy, and if that one is better, be delighted that she’s said it, and keep on encouraging her.

Children learn to speak by copying what they hear. Be careful what you say in front of them!

When my daughter was little, I made up kid-friendly “curse” words. Dumb, Dodo, Bird brain, Bop nose, Stupid moo. Works like a charm!
