A decade ago my wife and I took a 3 week vacation in Alaska. We consciously avoided all contact with the world of hustle and bustle, and we were a lot happier. She has returned to some of it but I still shun social media and the news. Hasn’t hurt me a bit. I know enough to vote intelligently (news does not help that) and that’s all.
