Good cartoon. If the Iranian deal had been blocked, we would have been at war within a couple of years, and then about three years after that for the rebuilt system, ad infinitum. See what Bush and Co. did for the program in North Korea. Now we’ve got at least 25 years. The savings in lives alone is tremendous.
I’m no big fan of Obama, but he does have some notable achievements. Now imagine if, in 2008, we had elected John “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” McCain.
I support the Iranian deal but the thought that this is going to cause the military/industrial complex from planning the next war? No, not going to happen.
The “Iran Nuke Deal” is nothing more than the US doing some “hand-washing”, here..Nobody expects either side in this deal to honor the terms of the treaty..And once it is suspected that Iran is not honoring their obligations, it will give the Israelis the reason to send over the IAF to bomb suspected Iranian Nuclear Weapons facilities just like they did to the Iraqi Nuclear Program in 1981..At the point when the IAF bombers and their cyber-command issues out another Stuxnet-like virus to wipe out Iranian cyclotrons, the US has this Nuclear Deal to hide behind in the hopes that the rest of the Middle East will not blame the US for an Israeli attack and no terrorist from there takes out there hatred of Israeli on either the US or any American citizen—and that might not work, either.
“Why would Iran give rockets to Hamas that could reah Israel’s nuclear power plant that would cause fallout from the destruction of the place to reach into Jordan,or Egypt,or Lebanon?”Israel claims they have safeguards to prevent any meltdown or fallout from an attack on the Negev weapons research reactor. Of course, they could shut down their nuclear program to completely remove that threat…

Republicans and especially Fox “news” viewers have no use for diplomacy of any kind. They do not understand it and they fear it.
They claim to want a ‘better deal’, just like Bibi, but they don’t have any concept of what that would be either.
They think they understand bombing and especially invasions, but we’ve all seen how that worked out.

We’ve been sayng “death to Iran” since they kicked the Shah out, and backing their enemy, who we made ours. Rolling up the war maps is a good thing.
Republicans never put their thinking caps on to do a better deal, because the caps would have rested on their shoulders.
