We still have an answering machine – we NEVER answer the phone, so we never have to hang up on anyone.

Cellphones are nice, but nothing gives quite the satisfaction of slamming down an old-time receiver.

And Storm, we have some friends who never answer their home phone. Insist upon using the cell, but also refuse to take the land line out of the directory.

She’s got the right idea; Hang up on those jerks!

We have caller ID and an answering machine. You need both to manage all the junk callers. The phone is about on par with the snail mail now.
