RJ is always fountain of wisdom, the problem is no one believes it.

‘Much prefer comics with a non-political history to remain so. Being brilliant at one’s job, whatever it is, does not equal political brilliance.

I await the third act, when it will be revealed that “the hair” is actually a malevolent alien parasite turning a kind, thoughtful man into, well, The Donald.

My only rule on cartoonists expressing thoughts concerns use of the trite pseudo-humorous phrase “Faux News” as a punchline. Whenever I see that, I am gone forever.

Ahh, a new twist on the classic “Dial” soap add. To this day I cannot understand anyone thinking they smell “clean” after using that product. Everyone I have ever met who use s it smell of rotten-ripe onions! Peeuuii!

ISIL, Boko Haram, the Inquisition, nuclear weapons, so many examples of “advanced human behavior” , for centuries, that “Human nature” is indeed in reality more cruel than “nature”. RJ makes a valid point.

I read too many comics. Political season is a good time to cull my list.

Power of the negative. Fear of losing one’s job, of being ugly . . . who knew it all could yield such capital, galvanize the fight for our stakes in the union like never before. How will this play out in the executive/legislative stage, to come after election night? Or will we get to the stage like in Mexico tonight, where there is a great debate about whether to celebrate the independence re-enactment or not. A cartoonist showed a Father Hidalgo actor with a paper grocery sack over his head, to hide that the person was participating in the celebration (i.e. supporting the government). Shall we get to that stage?

HEY! Drop the politics (all sides) and get back to being a COMIC strip, not an editorial comic strip. Or quite cartoonist and write columns instead.Comics outside the editorial section are meant to be NON-political and funny, and you can do that well. Don’t screw it up.

Yesterday I watched about 10 seconds of his bombastic strutting and posturing and then realized who he reminded me of: Benito Mussolini.
