Are they supposed to be Walt Wallet & Skeezix fro Gasoline Alley? That’s who they kind of look like. But what does that have to do worth “Born to Run” or Springsteen?
Not Harry Bliss’ usual style…but I think he did purposely make the Dad a throwback to more innocent times…Maybe not Walt, exactly…but a sweet, cherubic, old-fashioned, comic strip face…The “connection” is the contrast between his harmless appearance and his Walter Mitty-ish musical choices.
He can’t convince the rest of the world, or us, that he’s the tough guy of his fantasies…but maybe he can still impress his son…at least while he’s still a baby and doesn’t know what the lyrics mean.

I heard Chris Christie wanted to make “Born to Run” the official rock song of New Jersey. Guess HE never heard the lyrics, either.

Bill Spencer…
Really?It’s a hard-driving motorcycle-riding, machismo, suburban-male-daydream anthem…
here… with lyrics…. is Born to Run
And Harry Bliss is one of the best…he does revisit certain themes, but usually manages to find a fresh twist…
I love his somewhat sardonic but incredibly accurate take on modern conversation and foibles..I have never seen him run out of ideas.
