Actually, most women like to be whistled at! I know that I did when I was younger, & us girls would giggle & blush! Hey, when the hormones hit, there is not much that can be done! Women want to be admired & appreciated by the opposite sex, as do men want to know that they are attractive to the opposite sex. No matter what the media & interest groups try to say to us, men & women showing their interest in each other is as old as the beginning of time.
I never liked it. Being whistled at always confused me. What are you supposed to do? Ignore it and look arrogant? Say thank you and risk getting the full court press? I don’t like getting hit on, either. I usually look arrogant and run away. It’s a pain in the butt either way.
I think women like getting whistled at sometime – i.e. only certain men. After all, whistling is a form of flirting, and they will blush and giggle if they are attracted to the guy, but will be put off and decry sexual harassment if it is a 40+ year old bald guy with a beer gut. Sigh.
