I don’t know where it started, but I’ve recently seen the boiled-frog metaphor used to describe how to turn a free country into a socialist one. Just turn up the heat a little at a time.
What I’m not clear on is whether there is a political intention to this sequence. It might just be about the heat.

Lobster! $4.99 lb. Store opened 2 minutes ago. Why am I here?
Safety note: Always remove rubber bands before introducing the lobster to your cat. Check battery on camcorder.
Hygiene note: after dinner place remains or cat outside.
Aphrodisiac note: More effective than roses but cannot compete with diamonds.

Let me be clear–there is no political message here. Also no culinary message. I just like to draw frogs.

IDK maybe Mr. Hinds doesn’t have to politicize everything. Maybe it’s just a comic???

Bill, do you prefer them drawn with butter? They taste like chicken, or so I am told.

It’s been ages since I had frog legs, but I remember them as fishy in flavor, chicken-like in texture.

If Abby’s boiling frog is a hallucination, who cares whether the story’s a myth?

It is soo nice when the artist communicates with us mere mortals.
