There is always a sign over all doors to the accounting departments everywhere; “Abandon all hope if you enter here!”

Wait until Val starts having hot flashes. Then she’ll understand. I used to jokingly laugh at my aunt, who was hot all the time. I am being paid back for that.

I do have sympathies since I know what it’s like to not be able to wear summer clothes in the office because it’s so cold, but then you can always wear a sweater–if you’re too hot you can be naked and it’s still hot!

That’s why I have so many skirt suits. I just started giving some to the clothing drives since I work at home and keep the stat at 83 in summer (and I don’t freeze when coming in from the pool). The offices I worked in were kept cold for the guys because they wore suits and ties.

Where I work at the heating and cooling units are very old affects different part of the building. My boss is very cold blooded so I don’t have to worry about freezing. Now I get warm especially when I have to move around. If Ms. Eliot is on vacation, for an office setting isn’t this more typical? For me on work load when I think something will be routine something else may happen. vidazzle what type of work-at-home is done? I thought about it but forget about internet that’s a scam.

Kab, I used to design HVAC and plumbing systems for building, but I started as a draftsman back in early 70’s and now I freelance doing CAD drafting for anything, especially construction and remodels. It’s a little slow now, but at least I have SSA (used to make over 60,000 yr ;-(

I can receive and send work over internet (though sometimes they send me a FAX- if no scanner to make it a jpg)

It’s amusing how as soon as someone leaves, people swoop in to take their stuff. :-)

Or the position if one is let go or quits. Thank you vldazzle for answer my question. I can understand now how you could make a job of that. And I imagine you had to stay up on mechanics as Central heating and cooling has changed.
