Usually this strip is very animal friendly. So I’m really surprised and upset about leaving a dog in the car while you go shopping. A car becomes as hot as an oven quickly, even if it’s “only” 70 degrees outside, and every year many dogs die in hot cars. Rolling down the windows does not help. Never leave a dog (or child or elderly person) alone in a car.

If Koko was happy for a warm seat, the temp outside was probably pretty cool.

I would never, ever leave my dog in the car in the late spring or summer, but the fall and winter is OK, but even then only to grab a prescription or something, not a week’s groceries. However, this is a Canadian strip, so it’s probably already pretty nippy in mid-September.

That being said, when I open the passenger door, my dog immediately sits in the drivers seat, and we have a bit of n argument over whether or not he is going to move over and let me drive. He does have a license, but his legs are too short.
