Michael, we’ve never thought you paid attention to facts. It would be a big step forward if you would stop encouraging others to be like you

Much like “global warming” transitioned into “anthropogenic climate change”, so did “Hand Up; Don’t Shoot” quietly acquiesce to become “Black Lives Matter.” Please try to keep up, Mr. Ramirez.

Attitudes can cause unnecessary suffering.

Liberals never pay any attention to the facts. It would be a big step forward if liberals did start paying attention to facts.

It looks to me like Michael Brown was a petty thug. But that’s no reason to shoot him. If he grabbed for the cop’s gun, now that’s a reason!

But, and you conservatives pay attention, the daily insults endured by young black men in the U.S. are toxic and cumulative. And many cops have to put up with the end result, pushing them into being reckless and unnecessarily violent in response.

It’s a real conundrum. However, since nobody forces cops to become cops, it’s really on them to behave better. I suspect we need to have more training, better hiring criteria, civilian review processes, and union reform to better prepare the police not to be knee-jerk and power-mad. One thing is for sure, urban police don’t provide the same services to black communities as they do to white communities. And the dynamic is so fraught with tension that it needs to be addressed with more than meaningless nostrums.

Ironic that This strip is saying don’t pay attention to the facts. Darren Wilson, the friend walking with Michael Brown, who has been convicted of lying to police before and giving false identity information, lied about Brown’s hands being up before being shot and therefore stated a national lie that keeps on going. Autopsy results have shown his hands were NOT up. Witnesses have taken back their testimonies that his hands were up. But that doesn’t fit the narrative up to keep the lie up to the low-infos to keep on rioting and keeping the race division going. People that keep this lie alive are part of the problem, not the solution!

Ramirez has it 100% correctly; “Black Lives Matter” was created contrary to facts: the perp was a thief and had attacked the police and never raised his hands or said “don’t shoot” to the cop.-BLM is a leftwing Soros-funded anti-law organization, the twin of the earlier KKK, with “whitey” the target and policemen the prey.-No civic-minded citizen would attend their phony mobs/riots.

@ODonPeople like you are using it to keep the race division going and use Brown’s death to further a lie. You have to keep them as victims for some insane reason! You’re not helping their cause.

I love the repug thinking that this is all a conspiracy made up by liberals to keep the race tensions alive. WHY? Why would liberals do that? What possible purpose would it serve? And why would liberals fight so hard to eliminate voting restrictions if that were the case? Logic people. Put the pieces together and think about what you’re arguing.

Be kind, disgusted, from previous posts, has a moral code based on American evangelical teachings which are considerably different than traditional biblical teachings. We allow religious tolerance in this country.

I forgive Hiram for his deliberate “mis-information” on what I posted.-If the creators of BLM paid attention to the proven FACTS, they never would have set up BLM and never would be out one year later agitating with Mobs and Riots, breaking laws.-My Christian faith makes me Pro-Life for all humans from conception to natural death. But God’s Laws reflected in Man’s Laws must hold rebels and criminals responsible for sins and crimes. Read the Bible for God’s clear teachings on crime and punishment by man’s government systems. God is the final Judge.

You don’t acknowledge how many more whites are killed by cops than blacks. You don’t acknowledge when a white unarmed person is killed by a black cop. In your mind ONLY the blacks are the victims. I was in Watts in ‘65, checking on my Great-Uncle (Mom’s uncle) who’s black neighbors staked out on his yard with shotguns to defend him from the “OUTSIDERS” who were rioting and looting.

Watts had folks then who were GOOD people trying to improve the community. 50 years later, they still do, and demographically, Watts is now more Mexican than black.

Michael Brown certainly wasn’t a guy I’d pick to represent or defend my position, precisely because the problem IS much bigger than this one petty criminal and overall jerk. It’s the truly innocent who’ve done nothing wrong who SHOULD be the poster-boys, and girls.

We shouldn’t have bad cops, or bad cops, or bad politicians and preachers, thinking of Ted Haggard and Jim Bakker as examples of the latter, shouldn’t judge folks by the labels, or only the bad apples.

^Hmm, make 7-10 car stops a day, and consider that thanks in large part to the NRA, there’s at least a 70% chance the person you stopped may have a gun, good guy, bad guy?, would you be cautious, would the stress of doing this every day, especially if you work in a “tense” area or city with a lot of violent crime influence you’re behavior?

all lawbreakers, including citizens of all ethnic groups, any political elected office-holder, any law enforcement official, anyone and everyone, should be held accountable.-vigilante killings are murder and crimes.
