Today should be fun. It’s time 3 kitties go get their little claws clipped. Sometimes I have to make 3 trips because once I catch one, the others are wise to me and disappear. HOW do they know it’s time for a ride in the carrier??

No dog deserves to ge locked up in the pound, you kitties are mean!

Love the “cat park”, the sign, and the cat on a park bench. LOL.I once saw a cat in a dog park, riding on the shoulder of a man wearing a leather coat riding a bicycle. The leather coat was to protect the man from the cat’s claws…I asked if the cat was scared of the dogs. Just then a big dog came up, and the cat hissed. Big dog ran away! The man said, “Nah, the dogs are all scared of my cat!” lol

Hello, everybody! We’re back from the cabin and had a wonderful time. Only hitch was that Paul’s wallet fell out of his pocket while we were fishing and is now sitting at the bottom of Lake Kashawakamak (and no, I didn’t make that name up). So, we have spent the better part of the day replacing his library card, bank card, and health card. I hope everyone is doing well. Has anyone heard how Ruth is doing? Queen, are lots of kitties getting adopted? Ten Cats was the one thing I missed up at the cabin.

It looks like Chesney is negotiating with the fisherman on the boat.

Safe journey home Gweedo! Did you hear about the Animas river near Durango getting mucked up with toxic waste? It’s yellow now from all the cyanide and junk that was dumped from a mine upstream. Idiots. >^..^<

LadyKat and QoA, my colleague is finally back so I showed him the picture of Yum Yum. it was too difficult for him to read and he thinks it may actually be chinese characters but says if you take a picture of just them he can tell one way or the other. There’s mandarin and cantonese speakers here too so if it is chinese we’ll work it out :)

What a cute little kitten. She certainly doesn’t look wild and likes being cuddled. Safe journey home.

I will tell you all about my cat Fanny ( so named for her cute pouncy butt) if you don’t mind not having pictures yet. We got a call from a friend who said she just saved a kitten that almost got hit by a car and was trying to climb a telephone pole. We went to check out the little fluff ball and my when my husband held her, she climbed onto his shoulder and looked out the door. She knew who to schmooze. (She turned out to be a beautiful black and white Maine Coon that weighed in at 18 pounds.) We brought her home and started taking her for car rides. Eventually, when we took trips, she would lie between the van seats in a hammock with a pillow in it. We would put a covered litter box in the back and when she needed to use it, she would walk back to the box and use it while we were driving. Occasionally, she would put both paws on the back window and look out as if to say , “Help! I’m being held hostage!”.We used to have a bookcase headboard and would put the bedroom tv remote on it. Some nights we would wake up with the tv on. Fanny somehow figured out which button on the remote turned on the tv and she would be watching whatever was on. I took many pictures of her like a proud kitty mom. but learned quickly what not to say. A co-worker almost had a heart attack when I asked her if she wanted to see a picture of my Fanny. She stayed away from me after that. Fanny was 9 years old when we had to put her down on a July 4th. from stomach cancer. It was just heartbreaking. While we waited for them to put her down, we held her and she started purring, as if to say It’s ok Mom. It took a while before we got Sheba from the S.P.C. A. A friend of mine got us a gift certificate and told me to go get another cat. Now we have the black cat Sheba, and she is a joy too. >^..^<
