Gah! “Cootie” is actually a family nickname (my maiden name is “Coutermarsh”). As a matter of fact, my uncle (who died last month) always went by “Cootie”. Yeah, the kids in school ragged me about that. There were “girl cooties” and “boy cooties”…but I had “Cootie cooties”.
