At her age I alwys naturally awoke earlier during vacations because I wa allowed to read myself to sleep, therefor starting sleep sooner than with enforced lights out.
When I was younger I would get up at 5 am CST for the Farm Report before the cartoons started including Fireball X-L 5, even had a lunch box of it. You can see many of their episodes on the Internet.
