No-see-ums suck. The levante in Spain could bring TINY (size of strawberry seeds) red ticks with the wind and sand. Couldn’t leave your windows open.
My family used to spend a week at Sandbridge Beach in Virginia during June. It was great except on Thursday morning when they picked up the garbage, and the blackflies had nothing to eat except the people on the beach.
