I believe Viola can see him, as well.

She can. Petey’s mom also saw Ernesto once, so I really don’t think he’s imaginary.

Maybe Petey’s just imagining that he’s imagining him…..

    So, how DO you grade someone in emoticon form? Instead of A, B, C, D, F, does it go :D, :), :|, :p, :( ?

Yeah, you need a rest from Ernesto, Petey. And then you’ll need a rest from Alice in the summer months.

Wait. Technically, isn’t Petey, and his mom, and Alice all imaginary too?

Whoa, JHSayers—are you insinuating that all these colorful cartoon characters aren’t really real??

I’m tempted to Flag that ugly comment.

Summertime when I was a kid was a time to really let my imagination go wild.

That would make Ernesto a figment of an imagination’s imagination?

Perhaps Petey wishes Ernesto was imaginary.

My favorite comic strip is Cul de Sac, but my favorite comic strip character is Calvin, and my favorite cartoonist is Mark Tatulli. Weird, huh?

btw, I usually make :D and :) grades.

    I bet Ernesto gets a lot of : ( ‘s.

Not so weird, Me_Again. My favorite author of books is Kurt Vonnegut, my favorite books are “Cannery Row” and “Catch 22”, and my favorite character from a book is Bertie Wooster….

(Actually, it may be that we’re BOTH weird…)

fritzoid, Bertie Wooster may be the best character from any book anywhere of all time. But then, we’re biased.

Say what you will. But I am convinced that Ernesto was modeled loosely after Jean Paul Sartre.
