In his last years, my father “saw” angels. His descriptions were quite detailed and matter-of-fact, and he didn’t dwell on them, but went on with normal things. Many people I talk to say their elderly relatives see such things. And I’ve always liked the movie “Wings of Desire,” that has angels all around, silently observing, occasionally giving encouragement; and sensed only by the very young and very old. So far, I haven’t seen them, myself.
