USA: The only way to fight terrorism is to put more boots on the ground... in Tennessee, South Carolina, Washington D.C., Connecticut, Colorado, Texas...
Hey, Texas wants their own army, gold reserve, and guns everywhere. Maybe they will succeed from the union. That might be a really good thing. No more good old Texas boys running for president.
Jobs and publicly funded hospitals for the mentally disturbed would do it. But the first have been shipped to Asia and India, and the second were defunded in the 70s by (wait for it) a Republican government, and have never been restored.
Reagan as Governor closed the mental hospitals and put the mentally ill out on the street. Other right-wing governors have since done the same.
BUT: the mentally ill (diagnosed) represent only a small percentage of shooters. While anger and settling disputes, with friends or your spouse, might show temporary unbalance, it doesn’t qualify for mental illness. It’s interesting how many “NRA types” still protest banning sales to spouse abusers though.
While I applaud your civil discourse and being completely honest and your point of view; but Salon? Really? A news site named after places where women get their hair done?
