The Rebel flag may be removed from sight but it will be far harder to remove it from the hearts of those who continue to rebel against an overreaching federal authority.
Last I looked, Americans who believed in equality for all and did not believe in slavery accounted for most of the population. In what bizarro-world way is this “the tyranny of the few?”And stop repeating that nonsensical, racist note until you provide some citations of facts.I will demonstrate:Black teens are TWENTY-ONE TIMES more likely to be killed by police than whites.http://gawker.com/black-teens-are-21-times-more-likely-to-be-killed-by-co-1644967653Blacks are four times as likely to be homicide victims.http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2014/01/23/3198481/blacks-times-homicide-victims/And of course, are infinitely more likely to be killed by racists…
Moving the flag from the pole outside, to a museum display inside was totally appropriate to honor their history, recognizing it needs to be a “thing of the past”, in every way.
Or, blowing up and burning churches……. Incidentally, do you have any “first-hand” knowledge of “folks” being recently lynched or dragged behind a pickup or, are you just referring to sins of the past committed by those white-robed pointy hood guys. When do we get to the reality of what is rather than the memories of what was? You can only flog the sins of the past so long if those wrongs are irrelevant to the reality of now.
No, I hope the pointy-headed and -hooded idiots fly it high and proud. I want to be able to watch them die off and be replaced by a smarter, colorblind generation.

Covering the flag doesn’t hide or change the attitude. In fact, may have made the most committed even crazier.

Definitely captures the essence of the situation. It’s not so much gone, as papered over.
