BP Oil floats on a pool of revenue. A tiny dark spot is the Deepwater Horizon penalty.
Some of that revenue is used in Washington D.C., to keep the EPA and courts at bay.
And a lot of what is filling that pool is the BILLIONS in subsidies the oil companies receive from the US government, annually.
The revenue is a much bigger pool, that’s actually just what they make/keep from government subsidies, so that drop aiin’t nothing to ’em…
Just for the Record, that happened under Dick “Darth” Cheney’s watch..It’s all Darth’s fault..Oh, and in addition to BP, Halliburton was also Guilty of Negligence for It’s part in Constructing the well..Darth Cheney’s Company.
