Clayton: Where's dad? Laura: He and Katy are boycotting the heat wave. Clayton: Yeah...it's really hot. Is the air conditioning broken? Laura: We think it's just having a hard time keeping up. Clayton: Like dad's deodorant? Adam: If I wasn't so hot I'd come in there and scowl at you.

you just know it’s hot when you don’t have the energy to scowl at anyone

Heat pump. Besides being very efficient, it doubles as a central air unit in the summer.

Just wait a few years Clayton, something tells me you’ll have the same problem. I lucked out when I was moving, the house I was supposed to move to wasn’t ready so I ended up with one that had central air for the same price.

I used to look forward to the cold Minnesota winters; but not so much anymore. You might say i am a real “fan” of the warm, sultry Minnesota summers…

As I recall, it was during the late 70s, early 80s when the major problem hit portions of Minnesota. If memory serves me, some of the source was traced to the Atikokan power plant in Ontario. When I took a sample of our pool water to the local pool store, they remarked at how many pool owners were experiencing the same conditions and that some lakes in northern Minnesota were also affected.
I hope this helps…
