It is going to be like Brown verses Board of Education again. State trying to dismiss a supreme court ruling. More court cases, maybe federal troops. Texas can still get what it really wishes an invasion of the US military using those Walmart tunnels.

Btw…. I couldn’t care less if homosexuals want to marry, but leave it to the LAWMAKERS to create laws as they already did in almost every state to legalize it.This Court thinks they are all 3 branches of government.Scary.

A big part of the problem is embodied in that term sanctity of marriage. Sanctity? Get religion out of the legal construct of governmentally-administered marriage. Unfortunately, religious marriage and civil marriage are, apparently, inextricably linked in the language itself.

If that is legal in the state of Neveda, then it is a legal civil marriage!

But nobody (including LGBT people and liberals) is even proposing at all that any religious organization, be it Church, Synagouge, Mosque, or Temple should be forced by the government at any level to marry same sex couples.

This would be totally against the principle of the seperation of church and state. A principle that protects the church from state interference in its operation, every bit as much as it protects the civil state from the interference of the church!!
