why am i confused. the mayors of this country are overwhelmingly in favor of this, purportedly because of the increased business that will accrue. yet all the posters are bad-mouthing it. oregon, bluest of the blue (especially west of the cascades), is avidly awaiting it.
It’s not about trade. It’s about corporate hegemony. A chapter that expands the system of international corporate courts, allows corporations to to sue nations for having the temerity to pass, say, environmental laws, and said chapter remaining SECRET for 4 years after passage? Anyone who supports that hates democracy.
