Transfats are a slow killler, the guy in Charleston proves once again that guns are faster, especially in the hands of adults protecting their second amendment rights in a pro-gun state.
Corporate greed actually drives the opposition to regulating either danger to peoples’ health and longevity.
according to an interview on npr tuesday, the death rate quoted by the government for trans fats may have been grossly oversimplified, blaming transfats for a lot of other underlying causes.
For what it’s worth, I note that one dictionary definition of “bear arms” is “to serve as a member of the military or of contending forces.” In the context of the first part of the 2nd Amendment (which gun lovers never discuss, let alone explain), this definition makes far more sense. It is also interesting to note that the word “infringe” does not mean “limit” or “regulate.” Therefore, it can rightfully be argued that it is no violation of the amendment to limit access or type of weapon.

Why guns, which don’t kill more people than doughnuts, instead of cigarettes, which do? Huh? (retorical queston!)

The federal Government is trying to protect your health, not raise your I.Q.
