We got in on VHS early, before the video rental stores were around. We stayed with it, through several machines, until DVD player were cheap. We also waited for Blu-Ray to get cheap. Saved a lot of money that way. Now, streaming is the way to go, and the streaming players are pretty cheap now.

Man, I bet on the HD DVD horse back then. The plus side was after the format tanked, you could get all those HD movies for next to nothing!
