Happy Independence Day, America!

Yes the girls need mom time. Phil will not be too neglected. Soon he will have step-dad to daughter time.Happy Birthday America as we celebrate our freedom today. We should not forget the military who protect our freedom.

Here’s what I put on Facebook today:Happy Fourth of July to all, with a nod to my great-great-great-great grandfather on my mom’s mom’s side, Jesse [European-sounding name]. He was a Coree Indian from North Carolina (info. courtesy of my go-to genealogist, [name of daughter] #2). Although his ancestors may not have been enchanté over the arrival of my other ancestors, Grampa Jesse seems to have made the best of it. So, everyone have a glorious Fourth!. . . and you, too, Stone Soup devotees!

Every once in a while Val is capable of stepping back and seeing the big picture, i.e. how much she really has. But can she only do this when every detail is going her way? There are still a few weeks before the wedding. Could Jan have something else up her sleeve to make Val freak out and start going off the deep end …again.
