You are JUSTIFYING his behavior?!?! His own police chief said it was wrong!!! I’m glad the children didn’t take this little man seriously. Being innocent of any crimes, I would not have either.

I am surprised he didn’t start blasting away. From what I saw nobody was threatening the officer, no one had a weapon or threw anything. The 14 year old was loud and agitated but obviously not a threat to an armed, muscular police officer. Is this they way he would treat his 14 year old daughter?

I am sick and tired of all this race bit. You would think that nothing ever happens to white people.

This chump is the personification of the militarized police. tom, you would be a model citizen in the soon-to-be police state.

The real thing is that the Police have unlimited power in the US. Nowhere else are cops “fully justified” in shooting down somebody who is just jostling them (referring to Nehemiah Fischer), when a simple restraining maneuver would have sufficed. (Mind you, that guy was white). But since a majority of the force is white, their prejudices shape the overall behavior that we see every day.

So, yes, people do get taken down for being black. And while stuff happens to whites too, it does not at the same rate.

The police chief summed it up: “This guy went into the situation out of control and stayed out of control.”But to some posters here, I’m sure the 14 year old girl is a “thug”. “Did you know, she overcharged a family for babysitting?!”

According to teens interviewed by BuzzFeed News, “the police were called after a fight broke out between adults and youths at the pool after the adults made racist comments telling the black children to leave the area and return to ‘Section 8 [public] housing.’” One white teen added that “when she and her friends objected to the racist comments about public housing an adult woman then became violent.”

And maybe those on the left need to stop the race baiting.

and…as shown by numerous videos…that “armed to defend themselves” really is only for whites – carrying even a toy gun, or a cell phone, while Black, can be an immediate death sentence. Not all, but too many see their job as “To Protect and Serve” – as Judge, Jury and executioner

When I was a teen, the adults were running the War in Vietnam. Not very good judgment. I think some adults never do learn good judgment. (Though I’m certainly not claiming that I had good judgment then. When I think of some of the things I did, I can hardly believe it.)

Back in the early 70’s, my older brother managed a cinema and instituted midnight showings of art films directed at mostly a college crowd. They would hire a security guard who was a wannabe cop. According to bro, the security guard said he wanted to be a cop “so I can shoot niggers.” He didn’t know if the guy ever actually became a cop. I used to work PT in the 80’s at a liquor store. There were two plainclothes detectives who often came in around closing time, because they knew the owner and that is one of the times the store was most vulnerable to a robbery. I got to talking to one of them one night, and he lamented that his partner was too quick to pull out his weapon. He said he had never fired his, though he had drawn it a few times, but said his attitude was “don’t take it out unless you’re prepared to use it.” I’ve never forgotten it. Wish more cops took that approach. The one in the incident that is the subject of this cartoon was obviously too quick on the draw. It appears that the next arriving cops briefly try to restrain/calm him down before running off to do something else. BTW, they ran up behind him too, and you don’t see him react to them in anything like the way he reacts to the two teenagers who never get that close to him.Too many cops are too convinced that everyone who is not a cop is out to harm them, or potentially do so. Not entirely their fault. They’re trained that way. Then you get the just plain bad actors and bullies, like the wannabe above. It’s a bad combination. One reinforces the other. Add to that the “warrior”, or “thin blue line” mentality, and you have situations that are ripe for overreaction from people for whom an overreaction is the worst response. Apart from redesigning police training I don’t know what the answer is. The racists are usually smart enough to know to hide their true nature during the screening process.

The guy who called that reporting turns out did jail time for cruelty to animals.The most despicable people in the world are animal abusers. In his case the abuse included the killing of prize winning livestock as well as others. Unscrupulous people are known for throwing blame at others because they themselves are bad!Complaining People should look at themselves first!

Yesterday I saw a clip from fox nooz and a bimbo said “she was wearing a bikini, she could be hiding anything in there”.So dumb! I think the only thing any girl can Hide in a bikini is only what any woman hides in a bikini, the prrivate zone!.Women generally don’t want to be seen naked. She sure didn’t have a shotgun and loads of ammo hidden under her bikini.Most police are not known of as being “officer friendly” but are not total jerks, but there are increasingly the bullies are coming out with too much aggression. When I was younger, there wasn’t as much prejudice as we have now! Many blacks lived in the suburbs and felt they were treated OK by their neighbours, but we have gotten worse! At least amongst older white men and women and a few well known brainlessness.

Facts are lost on ignorant people. Many of the teens that showed up weren’t invited and their misbehavior was cited in the call to the police. Color had nothing to do with it.

According to the neighbors, this was a private neighborhood pool that was hijacked. There was an extremely loud DJ playing explicit rap music and they were charging $15/head to get in. The DJ (and other uninvited guests) were texting people to come and carloads of teens black & WHITE were being dropped off. The neighbors had asked nicely for them to break it down, turn it down etc., but we all know what happens when disrespectful teens without parental supervision are full of themselves…they started hurling names and disrespecting the residents of the neighborhood. The police were called and this is what happened. Yes, he probably overreacted, but you know what? Those “children” were acting like entitled brats and criminals in their own right. Luckovich needs to quit telling half the story and the majority of you on here need to read more than the leftist, race baiting media wants you to read and truly educate yourself.

Once again the liberals take a 20 second clip and pass judgment and then shriek at the top of their lungs about being right. No amount of facts will ever change their minds. Of course the left fails to see how any of the individuals, except for the white cop, need to take any personal responsibility at all. Personal responsibility, what’s that?? Nope just blame someone else, and if you can blame “the big, bad, racist white man” or a “racist white cop” all the better! As long as you repeat the liberal meme, who cares about the consequences. Liberals fail to connect the dots between their continue police bashing and their racist remarks and the outcome of these events. All they keep shouting is racist white police, don’t listen or obey them, they are racist and hate you, want to shoot you, kill you. What do you expect??

Let’s all just defend brutality and abuse of power. (The other officers who responded to the call thought this officer was overreacting and abusive. Those defending his actions need to rethink their priorities and sensibilities.

I know very little about this, but read that the officer should not have been there. He had just been on 2 suicide calls.
