I was unfriended by a relative, D., because I defended someone who had made a mild comment disagreeing with D.‘s position on Paula Deen. My unfriender and a male lackey both attacked the woman with statements like, "Ohhh, I didn’t know you were so perfect!" I take Ms. Deen with a grain of salt, but felt I couldn’t look myself in the mirror if I didn’t comment on the stereo abuse. Then I got the “Ohhh, here’s someone else who’s perfect!” treatment from the two attackers, and while she was at it, D. unfriended my daughter, too. My daughter’s politics mustn’t have been pure enough for her.
