Phil: I'm sorry my moving in is creating a mess for everyone, Holly.
Holly: It's OK, Phil.
Holly: It'll be over soon...and Alix and I will have a bathroom all to ourselves!
Val: Has anyone heard from the contractor? He didn't show up today...

Yeah, what became of the constrictor? (Maybe someone let him know of the customer’s upcoming wedding seemed more important than the project.)

For those few who didn’t see it, I reiterate my comment of June 11: “My husband contracted with a roofer (of sorts) to fix our leaky roof. Then we took off on a two-week vacation. Not a swift idea. After we left, the roofer and his guys shambled off to another job and left our roof half torn up and uncovered. Then heavy rains came and did all kinds of damage. I just asked my husband about it, and he said, “They didn’t think it would rain. They didn’t think, period.” That was an expensive lesson for us.”

I sure hope she’s better at marriage than she is at home renovation…

Our plumbing contractor didn’t tell us he planned to do our remodel job weekends only while working on another job full time. He just simply didn’t show up Mon-Fri, week after week.

Similar for me, except the tarps were not pulled over the eaves/gutters far enough and unexpected rain caused water to pour down INside the walls and light fixtures.
