Reminds me of a trip to Wales; in the local Tesco’s there were signs on the inside of the cubicle doors in the restrooms: “Now wash your hands.” It was the “now” that made me laugh.
A friend who lives in NYC told me that, in a restaurant bathroom there, he had seen the usual sign: “Employees must wash hands before leaving.” Beneath it, an anonymous patron had written “If no employees are available, feel free to wash them yourself.”
Whenever I see one of those signs I think, “How stupid are the employees who work here that they need a sign to tell them to wash their hands after using the bathroom?”.Personally, if I owned a business, and my employees were that dumb, they’d be fired.
While on our boat we stayed at a marina in Pepin, Wisconsin where the on shore bathrooms were so pristine you felt like you needed to wash up before entering…
Here’s a thought: If someone is so crass as to not wash their hands after using the bathroom, are they going to change just because someone posted a stupid sign?
