Our economy is increasing linked to the other economies in the world. We really need to participate and find ways to compete.
Elementary economics says trade deals increase total GDP, and hence GDP per capita.,But elementary economics doesn’t say who gets the increase. If just one person in each of the countries in the trade pact gets more than 100% of the increase, the per capita GDP still increases, even if the median goes way down.,(And we certainly don’t want to waste a cent of the increase on the rabble, no do we?)
